Co-curricular

Drama

Drama encourages growth in confidence and the development of valuable core life skills such as teamwork, negotiation and communication. At Wycombe Abbey girls have a wide range of performance opportunities through co-curricular activities, as well as coursework.  They are also encouraged to write, design and market their own plays.  Here is a glimpse of some of the facilities.

Music

Ninety percent of girls at Wycombe Abbey study one or two instruments. The department offers opportunities for all girls, whatever their level or musical interests, from whole school singing sessions, and individual tuition to master classes and an elite musician support programme.  Whether for coursework or pleasure, there are many performance opportunities throughout the year.

Sport

As the 2020 National Schools U19 Lacrosse Champions, Wycombe Abbey has an impressive sporting reputation. Our impressive sporting facilities and the dedication, experience and high calibre of our coaches support each girl to follow her sporting ambition.  Girls enjoy a diverse range of team games, individual sports and aesthetic activities whatever their ability. We offer 24 different sports from horse-riding to trampolining and cricket.

Duke of Edinburgh

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme is about setting girls on a path to a productive and successful future, and an Award at any level is a valuable addition to any university applications. Girls develop the skills and attitudes needed to become rounded and confident adults, qualities that employers also value highly. We offer the Bronze level to the LV and the Gold to the Sixth Form.
